2023 (Inaugural conference)

2023 Call for papers:

Research is what shapes the world around us. Our values and a strategic approach to research are fundamental to influencing the choices we make and the changes we implement on an individual, social, and global level.

This conference explores the idea of living our values through research, in relation to Griffith’s four pillars of values-based research, which we adopt as the major themes of this conference:

  • First Peoples
  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Environmental Sustainability
  • Social Justice

This conference is intended to be an opportunity for staff and students to come together and share their research projects and commence important conversations about the value of research within the university. We invite abstracts from across the Griffith research community, from Honours and HDRs to established researchers.

We welcome presentations of 15 to 20 minutes that address one or more of the conference themes. We hope to see a range of perspectives and ideas from the humanities and beyond that draw on the conference themes. If you are unsure of whether your work might speak to the conference themes, please contact the organisers to discuss.
